Best Ever Sugar Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

• 0.75 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1.5 teaspoons lemon extract
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 0.5 cup white sugar for decoration

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for perfectly baked cookies.
2. Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside for later use.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, oil, confectioners' sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon extract until well combined.
4. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Flatten each cookie to 1/8 inch thickness using the bottom of a sugar-dipped glass. Decorate with colored sugar for a festive touch!
