Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions, about 10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water; set aside. Drain the spaghetti and transfer to a large serving bowl.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and chop into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
Cook bacon in the same skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until crispy, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and cut into small pieces. Leave the bacon drippings in the skillet for extra flavor.
Add the sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, basil, and pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant. Return the chicken and bacon to the skillet and reduce heat to low.
