Decadent Muddy Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup white sugar
• 0.33 cup butter
• 1 cup yogurt
• 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 eggs eggs
• 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 12 (1.5 ounce) bars milk chocolate candy
• 2 cups cream cheese
• 3 eggs eggs
• 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 0.75 cup white sugar
• 0.25 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch deep round pan or springform pan for best results.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1 cup of sugar. Beat in 3 eggs, then blend in the yogurt. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Melt 6 chocolate bars and blend the melted chocolate into the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
3. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
4. Carefully cut a hole in the center of the cake, ensuring it doesn't go all the way through to the bottom. Melt another 6 sweet chocolate bars and pour the melted chocolate into the prepared hole.
5. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 3 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 3/4 cup of sugar until the mixture is smooth. Pour this cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
6. Dust the top of the cake generously with confectioners' sugar. Return the cake to the oven and bake until the sugar melts and lightly browns. Serve warm and enjoy!
