Decadent Praline Pecan French Toast Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

• 1.5 cups half-and-half
• 8 eggs eggs
• 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
• 8 slices French bread
• 0.25 cup butter, or more as needed
• 0.5 cup maple syrup
• 0.75 cup chopped pecans
• 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar, or more to taste

Instructions

1. In a large, shallow bowl, whisk together the half-and-half, eggs, vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Add the French bread slices, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the bread to fully absorb the custard mixture.
2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). This ensures even baking and a golden-brown finish for your casserole.
