Delicious Lamb Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
• 5 shallots, minced
• 2 pounds ground lamb
• 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
• 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 2 tablespoons lemon zest
• 0.5 teaspoon dried marjoram
• salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
• 0.5 cup unsalted butter
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 2.5 tablespoons tomato sauce
• 0.25 cup wine
• 1 small garlic clove, minced
• 1 dash ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Sauté the shallots until they become tender, then transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
2. Combine the ground lamb, bread crumbs, fresh parsley, egg, and lemon zest in the bowl with the sautéed shallots. Season generously with marjoram, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
3. In the same skillet, melt 1/2 cup of butter and heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Shape the lamb mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs and cook them in batches until they are evenly browned on all sides. Avoid draining the skillet. Place the cooked meatballs on paper towels to remove excess grease, then transfer them to a serving dish.
4. In the same skillet, combine the tomato sauce, red wine, minced garlic, and a pinch of cinnamon. Cook and stir the sauce until it is well blended and heated through. Drizzle the flavorful sauce over the lamb meatballs in the serving dish. Serve immediately with toothpicks for easy enjoyment.
