Easy Air Fryer Lava Cake Recipe for Two

Ingredients

• 0.33 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 0.25 cup unsalted butter
• 0.5 cup powdered sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 large egg yolk
• 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 0.13 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) following the manufacturer's directions. Prepare two individual ramekins by greasing them well.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring after each, until almost completely melted. Stir until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
3. In the melted chocolate mixture, whisk in the confectioners' sugar, whole egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Then, whisk in the flour until just incorporated. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins. Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket. Cover each ramekin loosely with a large piece of aluminum foil, ensuring the edges are tucked underneath to prevent it from blowing off.
4. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes. Carefully remove the foil and continue cooking until the edges of the cakes are set, about 2 to 4 minutes longer.
5. Remove the ramekins from the air fryer and place them on a heat-resistant surface. Let them cool slightly for 5 minutes. Gently invert the lava cakes onto dessert plates and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
