Easy Bacon Cheese Appetizer Toasts Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup shredded processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®)
• 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
• 7 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
• 1.5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 0.25 teaspoon dry mustard
• 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed
• 1 (12 ounce) loaf cocktail-size rye bread

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine processed cheese food, Cheddar cheese, bacon, Worcestershire sauce, and dry mustard until well mixed.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
3. Butter both sides of each bread slice and toast in the heated skillet for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Place toasted bread slices onto a baking sheet and repeat with remaining butter and bread.
4. Position the oven rack approximately 6 inches from the broiler and preheat the broiler.
5. Spoon the cheese-and-bacon mixture evenly over the toasted bread slices. Arrange the topped toasts on the baking sheet.
6. Broil the toasts until the cheese topping is melted, hot, and bubbly, approximately 2 minutes.
