This Bavarian sauerkraut recipe is simply the best! A family tradition, we serve pork and sauerkraut every New Year's Day for good luck. While I generally enjoy cabbage and most sauerkraut recipes, they can sometimes be too sour. This particular recipe, found in my collection of handwritten recipes, avoids that sourness and was a hit at our New Year's dinner! It's definitely not your average sour sauerkraut.
