Easy Cream Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

• 12 whole fresh mushrooms, tough ends trimmed
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
• 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. Gather all ingredients.
2. Clean mushrooms gently with a damp paper towel. Carefully remove stems from the mushroom caps. Finely chop the stems and set the caps aside.
3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped mushroom stems and garlic in the hot oil for 3-5 minutes, until any moisture evaporates. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Transfer the mushroom mixture to a bowl and let it cool completely (about 10 minutes). Then, stir in the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until the mixture is very thick and well combined.
5. Use a small spoon to generously fill each mushroom cap with the cream cheese mixture. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the mushrooms are piping hot and some liquid starts to accumulate under each cap.
