Easy Freezer Peach Pie Filling Recipe

Ingredients

• 2.5 cups sliced peaches
• 0.75 cup white sugar
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon MINUTE Tapioca
• 1 dash Dash of nutmeg
• 1 ready-to-bake pie crust

Instructions

1. Line a 9-inch pie plate with aluminum foil and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, sprinkle the sliced peaches with sugar, cornstarch, tapioca, and nutmeg. Toss until the peaches are evenly coated and the sugar is mostly dissolved. Transfer the peach filling to the prepared pie plate and cover with aluminum foil. Freeze immediately to prevent the peaches from browning.
3. Once the filling is frozen solid, remove it from the pie plate using the bottom foil. Transfer the frozen filling to a resealable plastic freezer bag and freeze until ready to bake.
4. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) with a rack in the bottom position.
5. Line a 9-inch pie plate with your favorite pie crust and place the frozen peach filling on top.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until the filling is completely warmed through and bubbly, about 30 to 35 minutes more.
