Easy Homemade Dog Treats Recipe: Peanut Butter and Pumpkin

Ingredients

• 2.5 cups whole wheat flour
• 2 large eggs
• 0.5 cup canned pumpkin
• 2 tablespoons peanut butter
• 0.5 teaspoon salt
• 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon water, or more if necessary

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Get all of your ingredients ready to go.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon. Use a spatula to stir until everything is well combined.
3. Move the dough mixture to a lightly floured work surface. Knead the dough with your hands until it starts to form a cohesive ball. If needed, add water, one teaspoon at a time, to help the dough come together. Be careful not to add too much water; the dough should remain relatively dry and stiff. Roll the dough out to a thickness of approximately 1/2 inch.
4. Cut the rolled-out dough into 1/2-inch pieces using a cookie cutter or knife. Transfer the cut pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the dog treats are golden brown and crunchy. Allow the treats to cool completely before serving to your beloved dog.
