Easy Peach and Cream Cheese Torte Recipe

Ingredients

• 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
• 0.67 cup chopped pecans
• 0.5 cup butter
• 0.33 cup white sugar
• 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 0.25 cup sugar
• 1 large egg
• 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
• 28 ounces peach slices, drained
• 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Grease a 10-inch pie pan to prevent sticking.
2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, pecans, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract to create the crust mixture. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pie pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven until the crust turns a light golden color, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly; do not turn off the oven.
4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Gently fold in the peaches. Spread the creamy filling evenly over the cooled crust, then sprinkle the top with cinnamon.
5. Return the torte to the oven and bake for an initial 10 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and continue baking for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, until the filling is set.
