Eggnog Cheesecake Recipe: The Perfect Holiday Dessert

Ingredients

• 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
• 3 tablespoons melted butter
• 2 tablespoons white sugar
• 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup white sugar
• 0.75 cup eggnog
• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 eggs eggs
• 2 tablespoons rum
• 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) for baking.
2. For the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well mixed.
3. Firmly press the graham cracker mixture into the base of a 9-inch springform pan to create the crust.
4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
5. While the crust cools, prepare the filling: In a food processor, combine cream cheese, sugar, eggnog, and flour; process until smooth. Then, blend in the eggs, rum, and nutmeg.
6. Pour the prepared eggnog filling evenly into the cooled graham cracker crust.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven heat to 250°F (120°C) and bake until the edges are puffed and the surface is mostly firm, with a slight jiggle in the center when gently shaken – about 45 minutes. Carefully loosen the sides of the springform pan and allow the cheesecake to cool completely before removing the rim.
