Irresistible Maple Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 0.5 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 cup real maple syrup
• 1 egg egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 0.33 cup granulated sugar for decoration

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar using an electric mixer. Blend in the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass. Sprinkle the tops with the remaining sugar.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining dough.
