Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe with Jif

Ingredients

• 1.25 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
• 0.75 cup JIF® Peanut Butter
• 0.5 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO® Stick
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 1 egg egg
• 1.75 cups sifted all-purpose flour
• 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
• 0.75 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare baking sheets by lining them with foil for cooling the baked cookies.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, Jif peanut butter, shortening, milk, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the ingredients until they are thoroughly blended. Incorporate the egg and mix until just combined.
3. In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the peanut butter mixture, mixing on low speed until everything is just combined.
4. Drop the cookie dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each cookie with the tines of a fork in a crisscross pattern.
5. Bake one sheet at a time in the preheated oven until the cookies are set and lightly golden brown around the edges, approximately 7 to 8 minutes. Avoid overbaking. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to the prepared foil sheets to cool completely.
