Irresistible Sausage Cream Cheese Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 pound bulk pork sausage
• 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Instructions

1. Assemble all necessary ingredients for the recipe.
2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it apart until it's fully browned and crumbly. This should take about 10 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.
3. Unroll one package of crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Press the seams together to form one solid sheet of dough.
4. Evenly spread half of the cream cheese over the dough, leaving a small, half-inch border around the edges.
5. Distribute half of the cooked sausage evenly over the layer of cream cheese.
6. Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll the dough into a log. Wrap the log tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper. Repeat the process to create a second log. Place the wrapped rolls in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour to firm up.
7. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove the chilled rolls from the refrigerator and unwrap them. Slice each roll into half-inch-thick pinwheels and arrange them on a baking sheet.
