Marinated Ribeye Steak Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 (1/2 pound) rib-eye steaks
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
• 1 teaspoon onion powder, or to taste
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1.75 cups Worcestershire sauce
• 0.33 cup brown sugar
• Vegetable oil for brushing grill

Instructions

1. Season your ribeye steaks generously with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let them rest while you prepare the marinade.
2. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Seal the bag tightly and shake until well mixed. Divide the marinade in half, pouring one half into another resealable bag. Place two steaks in each bag, ensuring they are fully coated in the marinade. Remove excess air, seal, and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
3. Prepare your outdoor grill by preheating it to high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
4. Pour the marinade from the bags into a small saucepan. Bring the marinade to a boil and allow it to cook for 3 to 4 minutes to ensure it's safe to use as a baste. Set aside.
5. Grill the marinated ribeye steaks on the preheated grill to your preferred level of doneness, approximately 7 minutes per side for medium. During the final 5 minutes of cooking, baste the steaks frequently with the boiled marinade to add a rich, caramelized flavor. For medium doneness, an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak should register 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
