Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies: The Original Recipe

Ingredients

• 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 0.75 cup white sugar
• 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (such as Nestlé Toll House)
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and get all your ingredients ready to go.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition.
5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined. Then, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Rotate the baking sheets halfway through for even baking.
8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
