8 hot dogs
2 tablespoons ketchup, or to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Unroll the crescent dough and pinch or press along the perforations between the triangles to create 4 rectangular pieces. Cut each rectangle lengthwise to form 8 narrow strips and set aside.
Cut a 2-inch slice through the center of one end of a hot dog. Then, cut two more 2-inch slices on either side of the original slice, ensuring the "legs" are roughly the same thickness. Repeat this process on the other end of the hot dog and then continue with the remaining 7 hot dogs.
Wrap 1 crescent strip around the center of each hot dog, leaving the legs exposed. Place the spider dogs on an ungreased baking sheet.
