Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe: A Sweet & Salty Delight

Ingredients

• 1.5 cups crushed pretzels
• 0.75 cup butter, melted
• 4.5 tablespoons white sugar
• 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
• 2 cups boiling water
• 1 (6 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O®
• 1 (16 ounce) package frozen strawberries

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and get all your ingredients ready.
2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 4 1/2 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3. Firmly press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
4. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
5. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
6. In a separate bowl, combine boiling water and strawberry gelatin mix. Add frozen strawberries and stir until they are thawed and the gelatin is dissolved.
7. Carefully pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.
8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm. Cut into squares and serve this delightful strawberry pretzel salad!
