Ingredients

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare three 8-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them thoroughly.
2. Whip the egg whites until they achieve a firm, stiff peak consistency.
3. In a spacious mixing bowl, blend 1/2 cup of butter with shortening until the mixture becomes light and airy. Introduce the white sugar and continue beating until the mixture is delightfully fluffy. Incorporate the egg yolks, mixing thoroughly. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
